Pengantar Penulis
Strategi atau “strategos atau strategia” berasal dari kata Yunani (Greek) yang berarti “general or generalship” atau di artikan juga sebagai sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan top manajemen pada suatu organisasi. Di dalam The American Heritage Dictionary (1976) strategi berarti : “the science or art of military command as applied to the overall planning and conduct of combat operations, atau berarti pula sebagai “a plan of action resulting from the practice of thus science”. Sedangkan Macquarie Dictioney (1982) mengartikan strategi sebagai “the science or art of combining and empliying the means of war in planning and directing of large military movement and operations”.
Jauch and Glueck (1988) menyatakan bahwa strategi sebagai “unified, comprehensive,and integrated plan that relates the strategic adventeges of the firm to the challenges of the environment. It is design to the ensure that the basic objective of the are achieved through proper execution by the organization”.
